Аннотации
This descriptive study aimed to find out how the educational placement of children with visual impairment affect their self-concept in the Sped Centers in the 3rd District of Iloilo. The participants of the study were the children with visual impairment enrolled in the different sped centers. The results showed that both children with visual impairment placed in the mainstream and self-contained classes have average to extremely low self-concept. Thus, educational placement does not affect the child's self-concept. Furthermore, there was no difference in the self-concept of children with visual impairment. The study likewise found out that educational placement is not a factor in the development of the self-concept of a child with visual impairment. The findings of this study can be eventually used to develop and improve existing programs for children with visual impairment.
