dc.description.abstractThis type 1 developmental research aimed to develop mathematics instructional plans integrating students' online activities through the Analysis, Design, Develop, and Evaluation (ADDE) model. The participants in this study were one intact class of Grade 7 students from one of the big schools in the 4th district of Iloilo for the data gathering and eight mathematics experts to evaluate the instructional plans. An adapted survey questionnaire was used to gather the data. The data gathered from the survey was used to determine the top 5 students' online activities. The top 5 online activities of Grade-7 students are (1) streaming music and videos, (2) Using social networking sites to keep in touch with relatives, (3) Online Gaming playing mobile and video games, (4) Surfing sites to learn their Curricular Aspects (video tutorials, resources, etc.) and (5) Using social networking sites to look at funny sharing. In Phase 2, the researcher designed mathematics instructional plans based on these online activities using the 4As format (Activity, Analysis, Abstraction, and Application). The development of the instructional plans was done through the help of grade 7 mathematics teachers through an informal consultation. Overall, the experts' evaluation of the developed mathematics instructional plans based on students' online activities revealed that they are "highly acceptable." The result of the study revealed that mathematics instructional plans based on students' online activities are beneficial as they engage the students in learning mathematics by incorporating technology, which encourages collaboration among students and, at the same time, encourages the active construction of knowledge by making math relevant to students' lives. Incorporating students' social and online context makes lessons more relevant to their daily lives. When students see the connections between their learning and their own experiences, interests, and online interactions, they are more likely to be engaged and motivated to participate in the learning process. Hence, this study recommends the use of the developed instructional plans without compromising the competencies students need to learn.en
