Students' level of satisfaction on the services of a public secondary school: Implications to its development

Abstract
The main purpose of this study was to determine the students' level of satisfaction on the services of La Paz National High School in the areas of Academic Services, Guidance Services, School Facilities Services, Safety and Security Services, Co-Curricular Activities and Canteen Services and the implications to its development. Respondents of the study were the 350 randomly selected students classified according to sex, year level, and family income. A duly validated researcher-made questionnaire was used in this study. Frequency, percentage, rank, and means were the descriptive statistics employed and the inferential statistics used were the t-test for independent samples, and One-way Analysis of Variance. Significant treatment mean differences was determined using Scheffe multiple range test at the 5% level of significance. The .05 alpha level was employed as the criterion for the acceptance of rejection of the null hypothesis. The result of the study revealed that the students' level of satisfaction whether taken as an entire group or classified as to certain categories agreed that they were "Slightly Satisfied" with the services they have experienced in La Paz National High School. In the areas of Academic Services and Co-Curricular Activities, students' satisfaction level were "Satisfied" while in the areas of Guidance Services, Canteen Services, Safety and Security Services and School Facilities Services, students were "Slightly Satisfied." Finally, findings revealed that there were significant differences in the students' level of satisfaction with the services of LPNHS when grouped according to sex, year level, and family income.
